Out Hunting?

Just wondered how many people will be out Hunting Boxing Day if the ground is still frozen?

Ours will be cancelled if the ground conditions arnt good, so if its going ahead i will be out!

We can't even get out with the horse box so no chance we will be out.

we wouldn't risk the horses legs anyway.

We have no choice we have to be out as OH is huntsman - however if the ground isn't good and we can't get horses out we will be on foot!

I whip in to a pack of Beagles. No horses so no problem. If you can't get out on boxing day with your neddy find out where your nearest Beagle pack will be meeting. Great way to follow hounds and no field master to tell you where you can and can't go. Extremely cheap aswell. Our visitors cap is only £5.

The CFDH drag hunt will go for a hack if the ground is frozen, but this year the council has not gritted my road so I can't get my lorry up the hill to the main road. I'm so cross!

My Hunt always cancel their meets if the ground is really bad.

If the ground's still frozen there's no chance of getting the lorry out of our lane... even if there was we wouldn't risk the horses' legs, it's just not worth it.

Ours is 99% sure going on be on foot

Gutted, but can't be helped; will be going to the meet and following for an hour or so

Yep but on foot! I think I've been volunteered to sell tickets for the whiskey draw so will be there early, hopefully being supplied with mulled wine and sausage rolls

Going to follow on foot with friend from the yard for an hour or so, assuming that they do hunt. Latest I heard was "hounds WILL meet" though what they'll do after the meet is anyone's guess...!
