Out of all the horse stuff you own….

Headcollar & rope, bridle (Dr Cook), saddle (Wintec), saddle cloth, body brush and hoof pick

Occasionally Old Mac G2s if we are out hacking.

Rubber buckets for feed.

OH uses farrier equipment as needed

Schooling whip, jodhs and chaps for me.

I'm 'minimalist' :D

Barnsby bridle, barnsby saddle (my prized possessions :) ) dandy brush, hoof pick, head collar

A year ago it was wound cream and purple spray!!! daily use!:D

Well put it this way there is a lot more i don't use regularly, if ever!!!!:D

But grooming kit, boots and feed buckets as well as tack and the horse is what i use most often with the hoof pick at the top of the most used....slightly obsessed with making sure all 16 feet are clear of stones. :)

When I had my horse:

Horse, headcollar/leadrope, saddle, bridle, front boots, hoof pick, dandy brush, plastic curry comb, mane & tail spray

(full livery so I don't actually use the yard stuff much)

Huge amount of stuff that I hardly ever used though... its just far too tempting to buy pretty shiny new things... preferably in pink (and no I'm not 14... I'm more than twice that age :D )

Bridle, saddle, boots (all 4), headcollar, leadrope, grooming kit. All rugs get used thoughout the year. Fly mask. Lunge stuff once a week. Body protector whenever I ride.

I have learnt over the years not to collect too much stuff. My competition stuff (numnah, jacket, hat, boots e.t.c) only comes out for competition.

Everything at the yard gets used weekly.

All of the obvious stuff when it comes to tack.

Here are the optional extras that I can't do without:
Shedding blade
Rubber mitt
Cowboy Magic Green Spot Remover
Cowboy Magic Shine In Yellow Out shampoo - or Quic Silver Shampoo
A bodybrush with a sponge built into it (really good for sponging down sweaty areas)
Polo blankets (instead of numnahs or saddle pads)
Really really gay rugs in loud colours or prints

Pressure halter and a long rope if Dizz is in dingbat mode, which she is getting less so :)

Hoof pick.

Horsey hairbrush. She goes to sleep whilst I do her mane :). It's our quiet time :)

Morris and Nolan comfort bridle.

Barnsby saddle. Used to be a Penwood, with a Heather Moffat seat saver!

High viz exercise sheet.

Mark Todd tendon boots, or TriZone Cross-Country boots all round.

Newmarket stripe rug, just 'cos I like it (Dizz doesn't need it lol).

All of them:)

I have saddles, bridles, brushes, halters and turnout blankets, rollers and driving harness, that's it. They all get used.

Well, OK, almost. I have a kind of a magpie syndrome for shiny things, I have about 50 bits, and only use 3 on a regular basis. Other than bits, if I don't absolutely need something, or I can make do without it, I don't get it.

Not having a horse, means I don't have much stuff and don't use much so:-

Jodhs, old caldene pair (have a couple of other pairs as back up that I don't like much)
MH Sportive boots (my Regents don't get worn much at all, and my short boots and chaps met an untimely end - the left one of each disappeared from the garage, I guess there is a one legged horse riding theif out there wearing them)
Champion Skull Cap (I wear the newer one but keep the old one in case of emergencies)
Black lycra silk
String and leather gloves (I have a several other pairs that I wear less often depending upon the situation, so I have a show pair that match my jacket, a waterproof warm pair for winter and a couple of spare pairs)
Schooling whip and jumping whip (I have spares for shows too)

The horse stuff I don't use:-
Body protector - only when I have to, jumping lessons outdoors and xc
Jacket, shirt and stock - only for shows
grooming kit plaiting bands etc - only for shows
Spurs - only on certain horses

DH has: -

Gorringe Jodhs - several pairs worn with varying frequency depending upon waist line
MH High Rider boots - worn everytime he rides
Regent long boots - worn for shows or as emergency back up
Rubber boots - consigned to the loft
Velvet hat with a leather harness - worn all the time
Ventair hat - old one kept as a spare
Gloves - several pairs, including light coloured dressage ones etc
Schooling whip - used everytime he rides
Jumping whip - never used as he doesn't jump if he can avoid it
Special pants - worn everytime he rides
Seat Saver - rarely ever used, certainly not in the last five years
Pair of rubber reins, used for shows and when riding any school horses that have manky reins.
White numnah - for shows only
Stirrup leathers - whenever he rides a horse with stirrup leathers that aren't long enough. The problem with being tall and riding short horses!
Stirrup Irons - never, they aren't big enough for the boots he wears, rubbish shop assistant told him they were ok and they are too small really.
Grooming kit, inc chalk etc - again only for shows
Two sets of spurs - swan neck ones for the little cob he rides, and he uses those whenever he rides him and normal ones that he had before he got the swan neck ones and now doesn't use.
Show cane - only for showing
Tweed Jacket, shirt, tie etc - only for posing

Notice DH has loads more horse stuff and it is all posher than mine. Yet I've been riding 20 odd years longer than him............. hmmmm

I'm obviously a scruff, I had the same pair of stylo rubber boots from age 12 to age 23, in fact they are still in my parents garage and they still fit my feet! In fact I was still wearing my age 11 black caldene jodhs at 23 too :o

Plastic curry comb.

Dandy brush.

Hoof pick.

NAF mane and tail silk (seriously good stuff  Stops the dreadlock effect tail dead in it's tracks and actually repels dirt to an extent).

Lungeing roller.

Side reins.

Brushing boots and overreach boots.

Bridle and the wonderous French Link fulmer that actually seems to suit my pony :D.

Hi-Voz exercise sheet and tabard with hatband.

Rugs in Winter and lightweight sheet in Summer if it's rainy (stops her getting wet when I know she's going to be ridden).

Headcollar and lead rope (all lead ropes currently broken, must buy more or start using baler twine/shoelaces)

Saddle (for obvious reasons)

Bridle (for steering and occasionally stopping)

Hat (for me)

Boots (for me)

Dandy brush (if they have been rolling)

And at the moment, lots and lots of cash.

All my daily stuff is in either my car or the trailer beside the field as horses are out. Jeffries tack, red saddlecloth, gatehouse hat, body protector, riding boots, neoprene overreach boots, Greenguard, hoof pick, brushes, Roekl gloves, headcollar, leadrope, flyspray, hi viz gear, savlon spray, riding crop, even feed - Cool Fibre, rosehips, seaweed and Equibites.
I haven't taken him onto the yard all summer aside from when farrier comes! Don;t know WHY I have all the boxes of stuff in the tackroom and in my garage then....
