Ok, so I'm bored at work today! Have got loads of paperwork to do, but just don't have the motivation at the moment!

Was just wondering, what jobs we all did.

I'll start:
I'm a financial adviser. I get to work with like minded people, which is lovely, as I provide commercial mortgages and loans to people with livery yards, riding schools, farms etc. Have met some lovely people through my work, and seen some absolutely gorgeous yards!

I work on marketing...not sure what I actually want to do though...!! Would love to work in the zoo actually (random I know) but dont think that will pay all my bills!!

Nurse Practitioner in a GP practice.
Office hours- no shifts/weekends.
I get to assess/diagnose/treat and prescribe.
Special interest in contraception/sexual health so I hope you are all behaving out there or I will be heading towards you with a scary looking implement....

Pays me very well so I can have my own horses plus I get to have my own office hence the rapidy rising post count on here

I am a student but I have two jobs too. One is library based and the other is a marketing and promotion role.

I would like to call myself chief biscuit taster for Asda due to the huge amount I consume while writing essays but I don't think that dream will ever come true...

Account Manager for a food manufacturer, used to play ponies for a living and then had a nice produce job which at least got me out visiting growers, on the farms etc.. now looking after lots of chilled food for supermarkets - much less exciting but more money which keeps the ponies in the lifestyle they desire so its not all bad!!

I am a very bored receptionist, that now hates her job, and is really wanting to get a job as a support assistant!!

I'm a scientist and am currently working as quality assurance rep for a big pharma company. I get to work with people from lots of different levels and disciplines and have responsibility for drug release (which used to terrify me!). I like my job but have appalling management and am looking to escape back to a proper scientists job!

I run my own wedding catering business and having my best year ever!
Only four weekends free between now and October.
Cause of the credit crunch more brides are turning their backs on formal hotel weddings and going for the marquee/village hall wedding
Which is good for me!

8?! I can barely afford 1

I'm a tax advisor specifically in the financial services sector so my personal tax is a bit rusty before anyoen asks any questions!

I'm a Production Controller for a magazine. Basically I make magazine pages, occassionally adverts for advertising clients, proof artwork/ copy and generally make sure the magazine goes to press on time!

I'm a Residential Support Worker in a children's home (with EBSD children 11-18), and I have a 2nd job as a Respite Worker with disabled children, which is casual and for the local council.

I'm afraid to say I hate my main job. I don't like confrontation, I don't like 24 hour shifts, I hate doing doubles and triples (so 48 and 72 hour shifts), I hate being kept awake at night because of selfish young people, I hate feeling so degraded by doing a job beneath my skill set (I trained as a teacher after doing a degree, part of which was in child psychology). I hate being paid just under 15k to do all that. So if you like all those things, apply. On paper, it should give you lots of time off in between shifts to spend with your horses; in reality, on your off days you are either called in last minute for overtime or you sleep off the previous shift!

I'm applying for other, better paid jobs.

Another scientist, but I've got a proper scientist's job, lol. I work in the Drug Discovery sector, for a Cancer Research organization (same place as Lexie, who I still haven't met!!). Flexible hours, reasonable pay and a swimming pool on site. I've done more exciting research, but this is closer to home and the pool is a major bonus!!

*I am looking for jobs at the minute. Im a vet.*

I would have thought vets were in great demand, will you stay in Ireland?

I'm a housewife (boring) but I look after our liveries as we have a yard at home that I rent 3 stables, it does get lonely sometimes especially in the winter when the full liveries don't want to come out in the rain!

I am a techonolgy advisor for the international mobility team in an Oil company. Read - I play with computers and excel to support the team that moves employees around the world. its far from what I wanted to do but the people are nice, and whilst the hours are long I can do the horses around them.

I'm a redundant New Homes Manager

My current 'job' is technically a research grant, but I'm assisting in a project simultaneously investigating the use of TMS (transcranial magnetic stimulation - a cross between ECT and MRI) and it's applications for investigating the role of a particular brain region (posterior parietal cortex, if anyone cares) in spatial attention.

Not that I intend to stay in that! I actually want to work for the police one day.

I run my own rosette business. Going from strength to strength this year which is nice but getting busy busy!!
Actually am a scientist by trade and have done mainly science based work. Nuclear research mainly.

PA for recruitment company. Things are not looking particularily rosy so I come in every morning with a feeling of dread!! Wish I was like OH and could drive tractors so I could earn the kind of money he is at the moment (he is working from 7.30 a.m to 10.30 p.m at night due to silaging). THink of all the treats I could buy the horse then...!!

But think of how little time you'd be able to spend with her. Swings and roundabouts.

I hope your job picks up a bit soon, or at least you find something different.

I'm in marketing & communications for an energy company (runs and hides before any complaints can be thrown in my direction...)

Wow, you are all a brainy bunch! Researchers and scientists.

I used to work in the NHS many years ago (PA) and I longed to work in the lab, just because I wanted to wear a white coat and look important! lol
