I'm just day dreaming at the moment about getting a frieisian (I'm not), just wondering what you think of the breed? Temperment wise, dressage, jumping potenial ect?

Temperment to die for, dressage no problem, have no knowledge re jumping though.

Lovely breed of horse.

My instructor has a 4 year old Friesian Stallion. He is going to do the Young Horse Dressage Classes. He has a temperament and movement to die for. If I had the money I would be very tempted as well.

I love them. If I hadnt of had Chantin when I was paid out LOU for Ebi I wouldve bought one.

Movement and temperament to die for. Make lovely dressage horses.

Went to see my instructors stallion yesterday and he was an absolute star. Showed himself off by showing how beautiful and how elegant/elevated his trot was but most of all how sweet natured he was to say hes a 3yo and in a field with 2 other stallions.

I have been sent one to break in, he is adorable, very sweet natured and willing, and handsome! (dont tell my warmbloods)

Out of any horse in the world this is one that I would have, megga gorge!! such a lovely action, noble head, and really feel that you have a horse under you. Can't find a gelding for under £5K so will still have to dream..

Lady at our yard just bought a Friesan x warmblood, he is GORGEOUS and as bombproof as they come. He doesn't have the extravagant movement but is 100% willing, calm, and loving. And boy can he shift (racing 2 ex racers in field last night) despite being in the heavier side!

I have a friesian x warmblood filly and she has a temperment to die for, is very gentle and a pleasure to own, lovely movement too!

No experience of them personally, but just thought I'd add that I think they are gorgeous, and have often wondered about their jumping ability??

I think the meaty deep girth type are fab - but I am not so keen on the long thin bodied type.

They have fantastic temerapment but dont tend to do very well at dressage, ok but not fantastic.
