Has anyone done any of these events???
I did the T-O-T back in 1991 at RIHS with Ardingly Riding Club, then did the Quadrille in 1991 and 1992 at Olympia with the same club. Great fun, loads of hard work but loads of memories.....

Just wondered if anyone else has any experiences of this to share.....??

I trained a team of three for a few years and they got decent placings every time.
It was really hard though, as all three horses and riders were differing types/heights and standards..
They were very appreciative however and when they won this ginormous silver trophy divided the year into four and allowed me to display it for a quarter of that time too as trainer..
Do they still do it?

I done TOT at the Royal Norfolk show 2002 and they are still doing it now, really good fun and worth all the hard work, even if you do fall off!!!!!

I did the quadrille qualifier in '98.

Great fun, LOADS of hard work and time but don't regret it for a moment.

We did The Magic Roundabout.

Were in the lead after the costume/turn out inspection but unfortunately Dougal's horse got stagefright and our routine went down the plug hole!

I THINK they still do TOT at Hickstead (RIHS). Quadrille is still at Olympia. Our TOT was great until one horse had a refusal at the first fence! I don't know it it's still part of the display, but we had to jump 2 fences as a team. Do you know of Deirdre Robinson? She was our trainer and has been doing the Quadrille since it first began. I learnt a lot from her.

Fantastic! Love your picture! I have some but not on the pc unfortunately.
It's always interesting to see how horses react to the big stage, esp if they are not used to it....
We did The King & I quadrille and Alice in Wonderland quadrille. At the time I was only about 18 and was picked to be Alice....the only problem is that I have very dark hair/eyebrows and had to wear a rather unconvincing blonde wig. Hard work but lots of fun.

I did the Teams of 3 SJ at RIHS a few years ago. You didn't have to jump two fences as a team though??

We haven't sent a team for about 4yrs now, as no one wants to do it.

Haven't personally done Quadrille. My girl kicks so she'd be no good. Our club did Hogwarts year before last and got to Olympia. It was very exciting.
