Last night we went to a comedy show and baby was out at a friends so Pips was left on her own with lights on for four hours no where near the longest she has done six hours no trouble on one occassion and toys to chew. When we got back she had gone into a bag and got out pick-a-mix. Luckily OH had eaten the chocolate raisans but she still ate a bag of strawberry bonbons, a bag of millions and some marshmellows. Luckily apart from being on a sugar high she seemed fine.
Today we made sure there was nothing she could eat in reach and in the three hours we were out she ate a whole packet (three bags) of microwave popcorn, uncooked. So she smells like butter popcorn. She also chewed up a toilet roll, and two travel packets of tissues.
I know that we just need to make sure there is nothing for her to eat even though our floor is littered with baby toys and library books but she chooses tissues and will go through bags and pockets to find food.
Is this because she is hungry or just its really fun to find the food we have hidden for her
And should I give her anything to help with having just eaten alot of un popped corn! (obvs no meat for twelve hours.)

At least she smells pleasantly of cinema popcorn!

PMSL! Glad she is OK :)

The best one I ever saw was my old girl, we'd hidden tins of cat food in the oven, which she managed to find, open the oven door and chew the tins carefully until they broke and scoffed the lot!!!

Not hungry but nose is obviously switched on! Anything smelly is a target.....have you lost any socks or pants yet??? It will come..... :))

My border collie had a thing for used knickers! Just the crotch though!

That soon taught me not to leave them on the floor - took my daughter a bit longer to learn to pick her knickers up though!
