1st thing)So my cob has mud fever which he hasn't had for about 2 years. We have brought some NAF Mud barrier cream and put over reach boots on, But the thing is that last time he had it, it was on his hock area & under the fetlock but this time its when you like lift up he foot just on his heel. Is there anything else we can do? (Just to clarify: The only reason we have put over reach boots on is because its on his heel where he could clip himself when being silly so that's the only reason they are on - so he doesn't step on the tender area.)
2nd thing) Is there anything i can do with him to build muscle back up? He lives in my garden (5 acres) and has his paddocks then is free range in the day when it is dry enough. So it is to wet to ride in the fields i cant lunge him as we don't have a arena at all & we don't have a horse walker - We can hack but we only really get to at weekends due to work ect ect so is there anything i can do with him? - Please bear in mind he is 26 years of age
