Including drainage, doing a lot of the work ourselves and hammering the price of materials as low as possible, our cost around £30,000.00, so if you can get one for £20k and the drainage is all OK then bite their hands off!!!
Just to give you a quick idea - Silica sand, 4" deep you will need 400 tonnes at 22.50 + vat per tonne = £10,575, we topped with Rubber chips 2" costing £4000 or you will need an additional 200 tonnes sand.....
Drainage stone 4" layer at £20.00 per tonne (400 tonnes) = £9400.00
Membrane layers x 2 (we used Terram) at £1000.00 + vat per layer.
Site works machine hire around £2000.00 (needed to level site and level material on site)
Drainage contractor around £2000.00 + vat (we had other land drains put in at the same time so unsure of actual cost)
just found this thread, using the costing as part of my HND equine studies course, does anyone know the price of 10m poles for mounting floodlights on? figured for a 30x60m outdoor i'd need about 10 floodlights but can't seem to find any pricing on the columns to mount them on
jimbob, used telegraph poles could be your best bet, i really can't remember exactly what i paid for mine when i had some but i think it was £30 each. you might be better with metal 10m poles though, say like scaffolding poles, concreted in. they might be cheaper than telegraph poles...
thanks for that reply kerilli, money isn't really a problem as its a theoretical unit at college, we just have to price up everything we want to build, materials, etc
