I forgot to put my gloves on, and after riding for 40 minutes I have a blister forming from holding the reins. Mainly on the right hand. Its the right outside rein that feels super tight. This can't be right.
I'm just in the process of learning how to soften with the inside rein and ride horse on the outside rein. I'm trying to not give with the outside rein and hold it steady. But he must just be hanging on it. I suspect this can't be right. The ideas I have to fix this next time are to make the rein more elastic, open and close fingers. And to try counter bending him to try to keep him from being on a death hang on that rein. Does this make sense?
Any other idea??
