Just wondered if any one else had come across this?

My boy has had sloppy bright green poo's for about 2 years now. It was like that when I bought, so I just assumed it was normal for him. But some one told me to get it checked out as there may be some thing wrong with his insides.
I spoke to the vet and said he may have over active intestines!
So, Archie is now on a high fibre diet and pro-biotics. The vet did say to keep him in for a week, but Im not doing that coz he'll go mad and it wont make any difference, he was about 3 months box rest last year and his poo's well still like green cow pats!
Just thought Id share that with you all, and if anyone else has experienced this with thier horse, please let me know how you treated it.

Hi there, I remember a pony like this at a riding school that my girls used to go to. You couldn't ride too close behind it, just in case it was literally like a hose and it's stable used to look like it had been jet washed with something green. I'm glad I wasn't the one mucking it out. If I remember rightly they said it was because of her age, but she was perfectly alright and the riding stable used her regularly just made sure she had plenty of water so she didn't dehydrate.

I was just looking for info about diarrhoea....
My old mare gets the runs at the drop of a hat...if it rains and the grass is wet, if there's more grass, if the hay changes, if she's in season, etc....
My 2 yr old has got slight runs today....I suspect it's cos I moved the fence into the lush grass by a few millimetres yesterday....
Horses, who'd have 'em?!
S :)
