My 3 year old keeps catching his front heels when he is hooning around the field like an idiot. Could I put some over reach boots on him to protect him..?? He lives out.

My boy used to wear over reach boots when turned out with no problems

I put overreach boots on mine, although she is shod as well. I just think it gives a little extra protection. They are the simple rubber and velcro ones and don't rub. They also protect the heals from sunburn.

mine was also out 24/7 and just had an extra check under the boots to make sure mud hadnt built up and they weren't rubbing. They never did though but i found those cheap velcro ones better than others as fabric ones built up with mud on the inside and were a pain to dry then put on again.

Mine is barefoot and has them on. He doesn't over reach but stands on himself a lot just from being a muppet in general...
