my horse keeps pulling his front shoes off in the field. which is getting very annoying and expensive!
I normally put on over reach boots, (the rubber velcro ones) but they don't seem to make any difference!
would a different type of overreach boot make any difference?
does anybody have any suggestions?

double up the over reach boots. normal size ones with a larger pair over the top of those. are pretty good at preventing egg bars coming off so give that a try

I use the Ballistic No Turn Overreach boots from Premier Equine. My horse has large feet but these have a velcro fastening so you can adjust them so they sit further down on the foot. They have a knobbley bit on the inside at the back to stop them turning.
Since wearing these Jasper hasn't pulled a shoe off. It was a very regular occurence before!

Toto has big hooves and we bought him a pair of Roma 'pebble' overreach boots for xc. They are a generous size and have a no turn knobbley thing
