I need a pair for turning her out in (preferably ones that she won't lose) and one for ridden work. Don't forget, she is a very sensitive girl and thin skinned
Archie just gets turned out in the cheap rubber ones with Velcro which are really good.
Hes got eskadron fur top ones for training/warming up and Premier Equine no-turn ballistic ones for schooling everyday. I really like the Premier Equine ones, they fit much nicer than my eskadron ones.
Are the Premier Equine ones quite soft? You know how paper skinned Grace is... the last thing I need is for her to have rubbed feet on top of everything else
The rubber ones with velcro are great for turnout, especially as you can just rinse and shake them dry. Don't turn out with neoprene o/r boots as they'll soak up the water and mud and go horrible...
I'm going to copy PG with the premier equine ones as well (baa...). I've got the no-turn ones and they're lovely. The neoprene ones are a good fit, and soft round the skin area, but they're only good on really dry schools, for the same reason they're not very good for turnout!
I have the equalibrium no turn ones, they have been brill so far and are really hard wearing. They have caused no marks or rubs on Baron at all.
I also turn out in the rubber velcro ones, but in muddy conditions I put a barrier on his heels and just above as I find mud collects around that area and gets quite warm. But no rubs from those either and hes just lost his first one in about 4 months so not bad
We bought the Premier Equine o/r boots for Murph. The large were too small ( wouldn't close properly round his legs) so we changed for the XL. They go round his pasterns but are too deep! So if you have a horse with chunky legs I wouldn't recommend them. Shame cos they are lovely and soft, have still got the xl pair here as I never got round to sending them back. Have to say the staff at premier equine were very helpful, seems Murph just has the wrong shaped pasterns/hooves for their boots!
