Hiya
My tb has had different shoes put on yesterday, and farrier made me promise to put over reach boots on, but the cheap rubber ones tend to rub her fairly quickly. Can anybody reccommend a diffrent boot to use, or a method to stop the rubber ones rubbing?

Thanks

Well I personally like the rubber ones, but they do rub quite a few of our horses, the TB is terribly thin skinned and I have started to use those neoprene non slip reachers from http://premierequineinternational.com/acatalog/horse-boots.html
They are great, easy to wash and last. Over reachers do help to keep shoes on, I found that with my coloured, and the neoprene ones are better if you are turning out in them

Eskadron neoprene overreach boots are a great way to stop this happening, this happened to my tb mare after a 1/2 hour work! But with the Eskadron ones doesn't rub at all. Or you could buy the normal overreach ones and the put your own fur around the top.
