HELP! Over Reach Boots!

My friend gave me a lesson a few days ago and suggested i purchase a pair of over reach boots to ride my 16.2 tb gelding i went to my local tack shop and picked up the biggest pair and he has very large feet.

Small problem, i dont know how to put them on, they are rubber, can anyone help?

thanks :-)

HMMM ok they sound like the old pull on type that are tricky to get on... I suggest you take them back and get a refund!! LOL

Or turn them inside out place over hoof and literally pull over... they make much better ones now that are eaiser to fit that have velcro fastenings much eaiser..

You can try putting them in a bucket of warm water to make the rubber more pullable... but I would take them back they are a painin the butt!

I LOVE pull ons!! Call me weird, but once you get the knack they're easy to get on and off (as long as you've bought nice stretchy ones - equus rubber is the best). I always find the velcro ones break/fall off far too easily!

I have tryed to do that but he kicked me really hard, it really hurt. iv lost two teeth ;-(

I wish i never had the lesson. i think i wil get a refund on them boots after all.

Put them in boiling water so they soften up, they're much easier to put on, and as for the taking of part, thats always the easiest bit

Hmm I doubt you will gert a refund if they have been used best to bin or sell them if your horse objects and buy a velcro pair!! Poor you having two teeth lost as well ... do you have him insured ?? Do you have personal accident cover?
