Hi

This is also in CR but since more of you seem to be watching this ....

I'm posting this query on behalf of a friend who's recently moved their horse up to jumping bigger classes (1.50m). The horses jump has changed slightly to cope with the rise in fence height and on landing she has ripped - and I mean ripped with the shoe being bent upwards on one half - her front shoe off the last few shows she's been at. The rider doesn't really want to put over reach boots on incase she catches them and for some reason they don't come off and the horse ends up flat on it's face. On the other hand she doesn't want to have her re-shod after every round and also doesn't want the horse to catch herself instead of the shoe either. She thinks you can get a rubber strap type thing that's moulded to the shape of their heel so it doesn't rotate and then you tape the strap onto the hoof part way down - anyone got any ideas on if these actually exist and who makes them? Thanks a lot.

I use tesa tape and rubber boots that fit over th horse's heels. The tape covers the bottom of the boot and over the heels of the shoe. He hasn't pulled a shoe since I've used them. I got the boots and tape from Equiport.
