Which ones do you use and which are best? My mare is recovering from a nasty over-reach halfway up her pastern that now has 5 staples in it! Obviously I would like to avoid this happening again, and avoid the £300 vets bill! There are just so many boots on the market now, it was so simple when there was only one type!

So, which should I invest in?!

Thank you!!

I use cheep shires ones with the velcro for the feild, I use neoprene ones for riding in, it was a bit of trial an error really as he pulled the neoprene ones off in the field when they got wet / muddy the plasticv ones dont.

I just buy the cheap rubber ones with the velcro or quick release fastenings as it doesnt matter what mine wears he still manages to trash them within weeks.

I'd rather spend £5 than £25, for something that does the same job. Just make sure that they are the right size!

I know of a horse who needs to wear over reach ones most of the time, he has plastic/rubber ones with velcro in the field and neoprene ones when ridden.
