Overtracking

I have just competed this weekend. The free walk on a long rein has always been scored around 6.5/7 as he does a lovely stretch. The score for this particular test was 5.5 which is an ok score but the comment was 'no over track' . I have never had this comment before on any test I've done so it's really thrown me! He's a hairy cob, with full feathers so hooves not visible at the best of times. Is this is a case of 'natives' discrimination or is overtrack something that is expected at this level and just lucky it's not been noted before? 🤦‍♀️

A horse that isn’t supple over the back or engaging enough from the hind end won’t over track. Maybe on this occasion he was a little tense and although stretching down and out, perhaps he was on the forehand and tight over his back?

It's just completely new comment and not something we've ever had on the scoring. The judge at E didn't comment and scored 6.5 which is what he would normally get for his free walk x
