Just got back from a& e, have fractured my sodding elbow, had a nasty rotational fall show jumping today with one of the youngsters, we was jumping really well, was through to the second phase and somehow got the pole caught between his front legs and flipped over head first it was only 90cms as well. I heard a crunch and knew that second i was broken. horse fine, was very sweet and just got up and stood there looking worried, it was bloody scary when i looked up and saw him on his back with his legs in the air and i was lucky to get thrown clear as it all happened so fast. I think it may have been a combination of the ground on the arena surface being a bit deep and his inexperience although he has been jumping much bigger and very well at home. I can't believe it, I have 3 /4 to ride every day and a whole summer of m and m shows entered and BSJA. bad luck or what? I'm taking up tiddly winks...
