What facilities would you want if you were to own a equestrian centre/riding school/stables?? (indoor/outdoor schools etc.)
What services would you offer if you owned a equestrian centre/riding school/stables? (mucking out/rug changing etc.)

If money wasn't an issue! -

Big stables in an indoor barn, all rubber matting and auto waters,
Enough turnout for every horse to go out every day, all year and still not have much mud (plus hardcored gateways and auto water in the field),
PR + elec fencing, also good field shelters,
Indoor and outdoor school,
Horse walker,
Lots of showjumps,
XC course,
Private hacking.

Can't think of much more!!

Services depend on what people want I suppose!

I'd want all the facilities. Indoor/outdoor. Covered horsewalker. Derby paddock. Gallop. Post and rail fencing. (dont want much do I) I would only provide full livery.

If I owned my own yard i would want (money no object):

40 x 20 m floodlit Indoor school
60 x 30 m floodlit outdoor school
full cross country course (inc. ditches and water)
washbox
horse walker
american barn style stabling
equine solarium
veterinary area
office
tack room
clipping area
parking for horse boxes

I would offer full, part, DIY livery and grass livery.

Full livery
Includes, mucking out 7 days a week, feeding, turning out, bringing in off horse, washing and grooming as necessary, keeping tack clean and (optional) exercising.

Part livery
Mucking out Monday - Friday
Turning out and Bringing in Monday - Friday
feeding 7 days a week
use of all facitilies

DIY livery
stable and field
bedding and hay included
use of all facilities

grass livery
24/7 turnout
