Owners of Bates saddles

My bates caprilli jump saddle was stolen on tuesday night and when we gave all the details to the police we said that it wasn' marked anywhere. However I've just looked at the warranty card and it says "saddle number v-abcdxyz-123" (don't have the exact code with me) and I am now wondering if that was stamped on the saddle somewhere.

So if was wondering if anyone with a bates saddle could have a look and see where (if anywhere) the saddle number is printed.

It is under the sweat flap, the bit that sits next to the horse.... it is on my CC anyway.

Yep on same place on my Dressage saddle too. On left hand side.

Next time someone tells me it was my own fault my tack was taken because it's not marked I can tell them that actually yes it is marked.

Yep have a bates GP and is in the same place. Surrey police do saddle marking - if you want the no. when you get a new one PM me - i;ve had mine done - then they are registered with the police and they stamp a number on the inside of one of the flaps. Read about your yard in the kingston guardian today - what bas***ds to take all of that stuff. Used to ride past you alot when had the boy stabled in Claygate!!!
