Just thought I would post and have a rant...because I hurt

Went out for a lovely hack with a couple of friends today as the weather was so nice again! We decided we'd try walking down this little lane-type but where we can't usually get to all winter as it fills up and becomes a stream!

Anyhow, was walking along and it was lovely until we got about half way along, and then my friend's horse in front decided to stop and not want to go forward (the was a bit of deep water in front and a branch the other side). My other friend (who was in the middle of first friend and me) said she'd go in front so she asked her horse to do so but he just backed up the bank....so I said I'd go forward.

After about 10 minutes of trying to get Dreamer to go forward, managing to walk INTO a log and half-jump the deep water he decided that he was going to back up too.

Not wanting to turn round I jumped off to see if I could lead him over the water, the rest would then follow and we could be on our way.

Dreamer had other ideas though and decided that he was going to JUMP the water, AND the branch...and landed almost on my ankle, but luckily just on my foot!

It hurt so much!

And then, to make matters worse we still had to turn round because they wouldn't go over the water.

I totally HATE turning round but I was already hurt and I didn't want either of my friends to get hurt too, or the horses for that matter!

I've broken my foot so many times now it doesn't really matter anymore! I have a funny bone growth in my big toe too (it grows at a 45 deg angle to the rest of my foot). I was surprised actually...but it's just big red, swollen and V. sore! Will be taking a bath later for any aches and pains!!

As for ponio....he's a 13.3 NF and he's barefoot atm.....I'm SO glad actually that he had his shoes off the other week!

I used to have a TB mare (a couple of years ago now) and I was bringing her back from a lunge session (had to walk up a hill froms chool to stable block)....and something spooked her and she broke the toe next to my big toe on my left foot....it's still bend and bumpy now!!

I do have a LOT of toes that I've broken...and I broke a bone in my actual foot once too!

I was just glad that
1. He didn't land on my ankle and it was just my foot
2. He didn't have any shoes on!
