Oh ok thanks, I can do showing. I hope its filmed more sensibly than the last showing on there. There were a couple of glimpses of the odd horse, then lots of boring prattling accompanied by random shots of the show ground, and rather tedious interviews!
God, I thought that too Stella! FAR too many bl**dy interviews and usually with people none of us care to hear from! They just need to show the horses, nothing else.
Horse & Country TV, although I want to support it as much as possible, shows way to many repeats. It's the same stuff on there over and over again.
Absolutely! And how can they justify no coverage of the British Dressage National Championships two weeks ago?
I had assumed they would cover most major equestrian events. It is after all largely funded by BD, BSJH etc, yet it just seems to be wall to wall Parelli! I must say I do like 'Vets on Call' though.
In case you missed it at 9pm, it's on again at 11pm, 4 am and 6.30am!!!!! Like you said - loads of repeats, but in this case I don't mind!!!
At least they showed quite a lot of various classes plus some good interviews - well done Aimee Hoare and Justin Broad!!
Not so sure about DW, though!!!
Stella - the reason why there is wall to wall Parelli is because they donated £1m towards the launch of Horse & Country TV. At least while P(UK) is being repeated, we won't get so much of Parelli!!!
Damn it, more than BD. Now that makes sense. Good advertising strategy for them, they are so much better at promoting than the other equestrian organisations! Personality though, I find it pretty unwatchable, so it hasn't done the job with me!
Good point about ponies UK keeping it off the screens
Stella, I may be wrong but I think that the BD champs is going to be shown but there is quite a long delay between the event & showing (for example PUK was in the middle of August!)
Oh well I suppose thats something, the delay kind of takes some of the shine of these things though, doesn't it? Maybe I shouldn't be commenting today - I am afflicted with the hormonal grumpyness
I am sure there was something on the BD Nationals website (or somewhere) that implied that H&C TV were going to be covering the event for broadcast in due course.
I am finding H&C a bit of a disappointment, really - endless repeats of programmes about cheese, flyfishing and stately homes and not all that much horsy stuff. What there is of the horsy stuff is disproportionately Parelli !
