Packing help

For eventing I pack everything up in the bags that rugs arrive in when brand new as they are see through, good size and pretty hard wearing but they are disintegrating and so am looking for something similar to pack my stuff in. I have tried to use those bags you put under your bed but they just break really easily.
Has anyone got an idea of what i could use?

My father is of the opinion if I sold all my rugs i could buy a house!

If I came home with another one he would kill me!

How about some of those clear storage boxes with lids - you can get loads in, they are fairly cheap to buy (Tesco or hardware shops), very hard wearing and easy to carry.
