Ridiculous pony has baby soft skin, and seems to get rubbed by everything. Current problem is the nose band bit of his fly mask. Any recommendations for softer/comfier fly masks? (Ideally with a nose net bit)

Because mine has equine asthma she needs to have one which covers her nostrils area adequately.

I've found bog-standard Shires the best out there; tho' you do have to watch with some of their this-seasons masks that the area around the nostril area isn't "shaped" on some of theirs. I like to have ones with the ears for field; and have just ordered one without ears for general riding as she needs something when ridden but the Cashel turned out to be a huge disappointment as the nose-covering bit just isn't long enough. Have used Harrison Howard in the past on another horse; theirs are good quality and a fair price, but unfortunately for some reason just don't fit my coblet.

Get a lycra one - they look horrible but will solve your issues. They won't have a nose net though as material would not be able to sustain it.
Some one i know stitched a riding (sort that attaches to a bridle) onto a lycra mask as they are so much lighter and more flexible. Its easy to do as they are both such thin fabric.

Equilibrium field relief masks have a nice soft padding to hold away from the face. Premier equine do the Lycra ones with a nose cover too. Those would be the least likely to rub that I’m aware of.

Equilibrium rubbed my super sensitive, wannabe warmblood native. I made a terrible mistake and bought two Shires lycra masks. The quality was appalling and the customer service even worse. Wouldn't have been so bad, but one of my horses now has a scarred cornea as a result.

Harrison Howard worked well, good size nose cover and lasts for years. Currently using a couple of masks from Kramer with no rubbing, and a Le Mieux that seems ok so far....

I find the lemieux lycra to be a good size and eye shape. They dont rub or get removed by my horse / other horses. Any other make of same style the eye patches have got too close to my horse's eyes. I have about 5 and wash and dry them every few days so stay clean around their eyes / face.
