I'm going mad, trying to find a bridle, would like :

Padded head piece
Crank nose band
Full
Black
No flash
Decent leather
Under £100.

Can anyone suggest something ?

I have a Caldene one with a detachable flash attachment (it loops through the padding of the crank noseband and if you take it off you can't see where it goes) I'll see if I can find you a link.

Well, i got a Mark Todd one with 'fancy stitching' from R&R country last year and am very pleased with it. I didn't actually want a crank noseband but it has that and a padded headpiece. I got the one with the detachable flash so it's essentially just a cavesson but i do use a flash for any XC/Jumping.

It was just over £100 but with reins so I thought fairly reasonable as it looks very smart and the leather's lovely. I've noteven used my reins yet as using my old ones for hacking as the new ones looked too nice! :)

I bought one today - it's an 'Ascot', it was £49 and it's perfectly fine - I am pleased with it. After a coat of conditioner the leather is already softer and I think it will be fine. I have bought it for my horse to have while on loan so I want it to be comfortable and nice, but not so good that I can't bear to have it broken / lost / not looked after...

I got one with a flash but they have them without. The 'dressage bridle' has crank nosebands (which I don't like); the 'show bridle' is a plain noseband. Only thing I would say is that it is quite fine (narrow) leather - so suited to a more finely built head.

I got it from Eileen DOuglas in Henley but you can order them (scroll down to see the details):
