My new endurance saddle has very large knee blocks and I'm finding they're bruising the insides of my bony knees at the moment. Maybe they'll harden up over time (my inner knees, I mean) but I've got 3 competitive rides over the next two weekends and am dreading it because I'm so tender. I use a Cavallo Gel Out Seat Saver so don't want to cover the saddle in sheepskin, so I was wondering if anyone had experience of using something on their legs, like a knee support wrap when riding and whether that might work? Or would that just make things worse. Just not sure what to do to get me through the next couple of weekends :-/

Any suggestions? TIA. xxx

Why don't you just take them off? They are quite obviously surplus to requirements meaning either you have to adjust your position of invent injury prevention decoy... or are they fixed :/in whoch case... ouch.

It's a case of ouch.

I like the saddle and like the large blocks, especially when negotiating hills terrain, but I've lost a lot of weight plus suffer from fibromyalgia which results in my skin and joints being stupidly sensitive. Even laying in the bath hurts, or laying with my legs together in bed at night. Bone on bone hurts. It's such a nuisance these days.

I have bone on bone phobia too. Have to sleep with three pillows one for Knees, ankles and shoulder.

Apart from the padding then there's not much you can do. Thankfully I don't buy anything that's not removable for this reason. Hate knee/ankle tu and I'm so picky about boots too.

So sorry about your fibro... hope it resolves but there is a treatment going on trial so ask your specialist.

Hi have you tried that gel cushioning pad stuff (Spenco?) it's great for any sort of pressure sores and i have used it for the inside of a knee and it worked well. they'll sell it in any chemists, I'm sure.

Thank you. I'll ask and see if my local chemist can get me some in. x
