Hi does anyone have any experience of a livery yard that operates as a paddock paradise/track system?

Have viewed a yard and was really impressed but this is my first experience of this type of yard.

Also price was £45 a week for a full livery package where horses live out with a field shelter, ad lib hay (good quality timothy hay), all rug changes, poo picking, fly spray, checks included.

Off road hacking is amazing and there is a couple of gallop tracks nearby. School is not finished yet but hopefully will be in next few weeks.

Thoughts??

Wow, I wish I could find somewhere like that near me. Sounds very well priced for what is basically full field livery.

I'm in Lanarkshire and there are BHS registered riding schools with indoor schools and more facilities providing a similar service for £50 a week? So I think this must be rate around where I am? But yeah I did think it was a really good price.

Also girl is just setting up so maybe thinking this is why a bit cheaper? It's also her mum and dads land and she has set this up alongside their farm and fishery as an additional business.

Sounds fantastic. I set up a track at home this year and it is the best thing ever!! Horses seem super content, all trim bellies, great feet, good moods!! Love it :)

Good to hear that Sarah W and Wheels. I was really struggling to find a new yard with a lot of turn out as we seem to have constant rain in Scotland lol. Which isn't good as my horse doesn't like to be stabled much and seems so much happier living out.

The horses that were at yard already all looked great and were all barefoot!

Sounds brilliant and a very good price for what you're getting (we're talking about 10 years ago to get a similar service on traditional full livery around where I am!) I'd be biting their hand off!

I'v contacted her to say I'll take the space!! Worried now other people might beat me to it haha. Can only try it and see how me and my horse get on!

It's also only 15 mins drive away so that is another bonus!

I know it hasn't been long, but have you moved your horse? if so - how is he/she on the track? I would LOVE to have my horse on one, but nothing nearby.

I'm the same. Would love this kind of livery for my girl but nothing in this area (Leicestershire) that I can find 😥

Sounds great if be interested to see what you thought. I'm allowed to put a track up in my paddock at new yard when we move.

Hi yeah I moved him last weekend! Was a bit worried as the other 3 horses didn't seem to accept him first few days but they're all fine now. He seems to really enjoy the set up as there is loads for him to see and do. There's an area with bark down and he has been enjoying a roll there. Then there is a track running around a big coarse fishing pond so he has been down in water and eating some of reeds. Also as its not just all grass he has been munching away on the rough pasture, hedges and trees.

Just had farrier out tonight and he thinks with set up I could attempt to go barefoot as he has reasonable feet for a tb anyway apart from being a little flat.
