Got up to the yard this morning, took his rugs off and on one side of his chest, about where the neck of the rug goes he has a small area of slightly scurfy lumps under the skin that when touched are painful, any ideas as to what it is or what could have caused it?
Hes fully clipped and has been for 3 years now every winter, as friend suggested ingrowing hairs but 1. He's never had this before and 2. Can their hair ingrow??
i can't leave rugs off to allow it to sort itself out as he is clipped but am worried the rugs will exacerbate them, am going round in circles tbh!
Have hibiscrubbed them and put derma gel on then turned out with the best fitting rug next to his skin and am going back up in a sec so shall see if it has improved but im not hopeful!
Any ideas or suggestions much appriciated, not sure what else to do!
