Are there many Paint owners on this forum!? Be in pure breds, crosses etc

I have a paint x cob and just wondered how many other people had them

They seem to be popping up more and more nowadays!

Hi,

Yes. I have.

Only horses registered with the APHA are really 'Paints' even though it is the common description for anything with white, just like 'coloured' is in the UK.

Robin is a sorrel sabino frame overo if you want to get technical, if you don't, she's just chestnut with white splodges and blue eyes, looks like a Hereford cow if you ask me

CC, Paints are basically just 'painted' QH's, mine is half QH but registered with the APHA, you get can get solid paints too.

It is the overo patterns that are/were ( a while ago anyway) more unusual in the UK than the, sorry, (no offence intended to anyone) bog standard tobianos, I have one of those as well incidentally.

What is their temprement like?

I am a little concerned as this horse is only 14.3hh so after my 16.3hh ID x I am a little worried it will feel very small

Sounds a lovely horse though

they have a QH next door to me that i look after when they go on holiday, i couldn't fault it's temperament, he's so friendly and chilled out.

you can search uk paint horses and a few breeders come up!

I personally love them...their nature is second to none...they are soo placid and can make great horses but it depends what you want them for!

Mine is a x breed....his sire was an APHA chestnut and white paint but his mum was an irish cob type
