Painted Black as a sire

Does anyone have any experience of his progeny?

I am looking at a Painted Black gelding next week...

No, I am afraid I can't help directly, but I saw Painted Black at the BD convention with Anky a couple of years ago and he was the talk of the show. He had the loveliest temperament ever, just walked in totally relaxed and worked with no issues at all. He produced the most amazing piaffe and passage. Don't know if that helps though!

I love him as a stallion and performer, and would love to see his progeny, but sorry I have no experience of them!

We had a yearling colt boarding with us a couple of years back - he was fabulous. Amazing movement and a lovely temperament.

Do you know there is a full brother to Painted Black? He is also very nice but not at public stud. Perhaps check which one 'is the daddy'

I have used painted Black and had the most fabulous filly , out off a wolfgang-Inschalla mare, filly was beautifull, very sweet natured and had a trot to die for,would definatly use him again.I think his semen quality has not been brilliant at times, and difficult to get hold off.Elite did have him on there books.
