Painting Lorries

This might be a stupid question......

I've an Ifor Williams Transit and it needs sprucing up. It has wooden panels which were treated with a wood stain when i got it. Should I use paint or wood stain??????

If you want to paint it then sand and prime it first.

Wood stain like Ronseal will protect it aswell as stain it.

So either really
