Pajero MoT question?

Our recently acquired Paj is having it's MoT on Wednesday however, the two extra seats that sit sideways on in the boot section have been removed for space. OH thinks they need to be re-fitted so that the seat belts can be tested. Have any of you put yours through the test without these being in-situ?

I'm not 100% sure but I don't think that the two missing seats really come into the MOT test. They are not fitted so there is no reason to test them. If they were fitted then the belts would have to be tested. It's like a lot of things on cars....if they are fitted they have to be maintained...but these aren't.

To be 100% sure I would phone the test station & ask. :)
 
Toby-Zaphod is correct. Rear seatbelts only come into effect if seats are fitted. That is the way that we test (MOT station for over 8 years). Hope this helps.
