Hi
two questions, anyone heard of a TB stallion called palads pride - he is our mares grandad. Her father was Ginger Jim...her name is Izzy and we want a show name for her....any ideas?

Yes!
Pallards Pride stood locally to me. My old horse is by him, 15hh chestnut welsh cob cross tb. He's 26 now, but he caused me some grief when he was in work! He was primarily my WHP, but I could never hold him, he's as brave as a lion, as strong as an ox and could seriously jump the world :)
The only other Pallards Pride horse I've met was of similar temprament! I searched for a long time to find another to buy. Horses by him tend to have Pride in their names too.
This is my boy in the prime of his life:

ETA - this fence was probably the biggest thing I have ever jumped and he is clearing it by bloody miles! Hope your girl can jump as good!

Hello!

Pallard's Pride died in November last year at the wonderful age of 35 years. He has left a huge hole but his sons continue his success.

Ginger Jim is TB x Welsh Cob standing in Shropshire with his full brother Pallard's Son VII

Pallard's Pride horses display similar characteristic to those you describe - fabulous temperament and exceptional ability.

We wish you much fun and success with your mare Izzy.

hi, i just came across your post, and i have a 10 year old 15.2 mare by Pallards Pride.
it is a shame to hear that he died a few months ago, because my mum went up to see him, about 2 years ago, as he was near our friends.
my mare also sounds like she has the characteristics described as she is such a bold, scopey jumper and is not scared of anything and a dream to ride.
she is a great little horse.

Yes, I remember your Mum visiting. She showed us some lovely photographs of you competing.

Although we miss Pallie greatly, we are still having fun with his sons youngsters. We have a very cheeky colt by Ginger Jim who we've just weaned. He was a late foal. Gorgeous temperament and very bold! He's still running with his Dad and hero worships him!!

Keep having fun with your mare and good luck in all your competitions.
