I've joined my local Bridle Club and I'm doing my first group flatwork lesson tonight. No big deal you may say but it's only about the 3rd lesson I've ever had on Chum since I've had him in two years, my first group lesson on him and I'm a novice and my mind has gone blank

Can't even remember what diagonal to rise on and what side to pass others on

Any other things to remember to do so I don't look even more of a pleb than I will do??

Any suggestions gratefully received

I think you're doomed. I advise spending the majority of the lesson either in halt in the middle, pretending to tighten your girth/adjust your stirrups or cowering in a corner.
Good luck

LMAO - I think I can lose 20 mins trying to adjust my strirrups, 20 mins trying to halt and the last 20 mins trying to catch my breath because I am so unfit!!

Thanks for the hints

If it's a lesson then you're there for advice and instruction - just ask! I'm sure there'll be others who are just as unsure as you over some things - don't worry I'm sure it will all come flooding back!
