Went to Stow yesterday, and spent much of my time there thinking how cold and wet the ponies looked. So felt veeeeery guilty indeed when I looked out the window this morning to see Ellie looking much the same! She made such a fuss about being stabled yesterday (see post below) that I turned her out for the night....this morning she was cooped up in a corner of the paddock, back hunched up, and shivering!
And also completely filthy........I thought, what the heck, so I turned the hose on her, for no amount of brushing would have got that sticky mud off! She rolled and rolled in her nice thick straw bed afterwards, before turning her back on me in disdain
