I am feeling sad and angry at the problems besetting the Paralympic Games. If the Deodoro is to close, then where will the equestrian events take place? And do the riders know where their horses are heading and how they will be provided for? I hope that the health and safety of these amazing animals will not be compromised, nor those of all the athletes who are going to have to contend with poorer transport arrangements, lower staffing levels, and goodness knows what else. :(

I couldn't agree more!
Are they going to demob. the stables and re-erect them at the Maracana? Or are there facilities to accommodate them at wherever the modern pentathlon was held? I know there are a lot fewer horses at the paras than the Olympics but still a lot to provide plus sufficient warm up/training arenas, vet and farriery facilities not to mention groom and athlete facilities!
I was so bowled over by the huge strides made by London 2012 to put para-athletes on a level playing field with their able bodied counterparts and now this! Rio has not been a huge success in my eyes - gold medal competitions in almost empty stadia. Will it be even worse for our paras?

Such a shame, I tried really hard in 2012 to get a ticket to the equestrian Paralympics and couldn't get anything. Such a shame it's come to this:(

That really surprises me, I got tickets to 2 sessions for the paras very easily and my friend got some others. I recall when we were down there that they announced some tickets being available for other days sessions, you just needed to go to the main park to buy them.
It was so busy though, great to see para-sport being so widely supported.
