There is ALOT of grass at my new yard and after struggling over the winter with his weight he is properly blossoming but im starting to get paranoid about it.

Does he look ok?

He has quite a big neck and feels like a barrell (had to have saddle refitted) although his grazing is on a hill and he has been worked twice a week by my YO while i finished my exams and one lesson a week with me riding him.

Exams over and Uni finished im now riding him 4 times a week plus a lesson every sunday.

has he got any muscle at all? Mane is on the wrong side i know!

Thanks guys

he looks fine-he doesnt want to lose any weight though! He is lovely and shiney so I wouldnt worry. He could do with some top line but that will come if he's worked properly. Please, dont cut his mane-it looks awful

What sort of breed is he - looks like he some feather so possibly naturally big boned. I would be pleased if my NF pony was that weight. I too am paranoid about my pony's weight. Mine is too plump for my liking at the moment so planing to up the exercise.

He looks good weight wise to me. You would certainly not want to put weight on a native type pony at this time of year. My vet would be very pleased to see your horse!! He always nags owners with fat horses (as he should).
