Like or dislike? And what are your reasons?

I'm just interested to hear peoples opinions on the subject. I myself know nothing about it but I have been watching videos on Youtube, definatley is not my cup of tea, what about you? :)

i'm not a troll, Ive seen posts on it before but never paid much attention, I know it causes quite a stir and was wondering why, thats all.

I'm planning a trim to the US and am looking for barns to work on durring my trip, they seem to be very much into parelli over there, and people over there seem to hate it, just wanted to find out more before I accept a placement I might end up hating! :)

I watched an internet of Micheal Morrisey beating up his horse whilst they were showjumping so showiumping must not be my cup of tea and I must not visit my SJing friend and her stud ever ... ;)

It is like anything in life - there are good, bad and indifferent examples of it.

I do practise NH style groundwork - some inspired by Parelli, some inspired by other people.

Why? I like the the variety is adds and the time spent with my horse :)

Parelli would be the bad in NH ;)
NH is a good thing, thinking out of the box, thinking about how and why we do things, questioning if the traditional way is the best aproach for the horse is always good.
99% of NH stuff is based on good old logic and an understanding of how horses comunicate.
Parelli is based on making as much cash as you can from people looking for help.

they make fabulous tyres...but are a tad expensive compared to firestone and michelin

Reminds me of many years ago when I used to work for an airfreight company, one of their divisions were a client of mine. They sent their best customer in Saudi a calendar for Christmas (not a good move). Our man in Saudi confirmed it had been confiscated, and claimed it was now hanging in the customs officer's office behind the door. I was never sure whether to believe him or not.

most barns/ trainers whether engish hunter jumper/ dressage or western reining, cutting, pleasure etc
Wont have any interrest in or know or care about parrelli I think you will be safer over there from them and monty roberts than here in blighty...
The yanks keep the good NH trainers busy at home and the dross has to travel to get work.....
