I currently keep my trailer at the yard and its £10 a month to do so. At the weekend I was asked to move my trailer to another part of the farm, where the ground is really rough and uneven and it will be VERY tight for me to back it in.
I did tell the farmer that Im not happy but he reckons its fine. Well, after sizing it all up yesterday, I am not paying to keep my trailer on crap ground and risk damaging my car.
So, at home weve got this little car park round the side of the house that hardly anyone uses, so I was going to take it home, thus saving me £10 a month and it will bring my insurance premier down aswell. BUT, OH doesent want me to bring it home, coz he reckons it will look really pickey and p1ss all the neighbours off. To be honest, I dont care what the neighbours think, coz its no different than keeping a caravan on your drive, and my trailer is smaller than a caravan.

Thoughts please..

I'd keep my trailer at home ................ if I had one !!! (a trailer that is, not a home !!!

I keep my trailer on the drive at home. My dad used to keep one of his old bangers there, so it's a step up in the neighbours eyes! I did warn the ones next-door first though, to give them a chance to object.

They do seem to enjoy watching me trying to reverse it onto the drive though!

Hmm, maybe Ill talk the neighbours first then, but Im more concerned about its safety than what the neighbours think!

May be worth speaking to your neighbours and explaining the situation to them. Not only will you win brownie points and stop any potential arguments but they may well also keep and eye on it too!

Oh to have a trailer and have such problems! Perhaps you could wrap it in that flowery stuff they do for disguising wheely bins! Seriously though I'd keep it at home- maybe tell the neighbours its a temporary arrangement and pershaps put it at the yard in the winter if you don't use it much then.
