I do part livery, mon to fri horses are cared for by YO. All bedding, stable, hay, turn out and bring in, feeding and rugging and waters and skip out done by YO. I buy feed .
Then sat and Sunday its DIY.
Cost is 60 a week
Our yard is BHS approved, plenty of turnout including sand turnout when it's muddy, 12 by 12 stables sand and rubber school, small round school. No charge for storage of trailer or small lorry.
Tack room, feed room, undercover storage area and tea room. With kettle, fridge toaster and m wave, and toilet.
I was on part livery, although it could be seen as 'assisted DIY' maybe but it was agreed as follows;
£20/week - Private small yard to include own stable, shared field/s, school, 24 turnout, yard owner would change rugs, feed and turnout every morning, and ride horse with prior agreement as and when required, no straw/hay/feed included.
Part livery here is £70- 80 per week, Mon- Fri all basics done, fed, turned out, mucked out, brought in and put to bed for the night, owner does not need to come up during the week, I will get in for vet or farrier and exercise by arrangement. Bedding, ad lib hay and basic high fibre feed included, supplements the owner buys.
At weekend I put to bed, owner mucks out and leaves the box ready.
In summer they are on grass livery with use of a stable £25 week.
At one yard, it's £70 a week and it's duties done Monday to Friday i.e. feed, turn out, muck out, bring in and feed. You had to pay for feed, hay and bedding on top. Offers daily turnout, all weather arena that is floodlit, storage and hacking on quiet lanes. On another yard, part livery was £110 a week, as above but feed, hay and bedding included, also has an all weather arena, storage, plenty of off road hacking and daily turnout, although this is limited to four hours in winter. At both yards it's DIY at the weekends.
Mine is on part liver at £90pw and all hay/feed/bedding is included and they are completely 'done' mon-fri excluding riding, then sat/sun is DIY. I just need to do the weekends although cover is avaloale and ride mon-fri works very well. Big indoor stables quality hay/haylege good grazing floodlight school lorry/trailer parking fab hacking and some upgrades in the process
Part livery in my area general means 7 day care and would include feed, hay and bedding.
Depending on the facilities and the general care quality it costs between £110 & 130 a week
£136 a week for part livery. Everything included 7 days a week except riding and cleaning tack also no proper groom but brush off and feet clean is included. Loads of facilities at the yard though, apart from a solarium it has everything a Horsie of person could require.
I've always taken it to be all horse care seven days a week including bedding, hay and feed. Supplements are extra and there is usually a limit on how much bedding and hay that is provided in a week and feed is what the yard uses.
The horse is not ridden, fully groomed, clipped, etc or tack cleaning but holding for vet / farrier is included. Costs varies on what area you are and yard facilities.
