Hi

I am mega skint at the moment so thought I could put an advert in the local farm shop saying I can do some work for people - riding, mucking out, holiday cover, poo picking etc....however, im not sure this will work as I guess I will need some sort of insurance which will prob not make it worth my while as I was thinking just cash in hand.

Would i be better off looking for someone looking to employ a helper as would then be on their insurance?

I work full time and have my own horses but can easily do weekends and some evenings...cant think of any other ways to get some more money!

What about pub work or something? Did you particularly want horsey work?

Think I really want something horsey...dont think I would feel 'comfortable' working in a pub or something like that.

Shame! you are to far away to work here at weekends - East Sussex is miles away!

Good idea! it's ok down here, when it's not so bloody windy!

But .. that's not helping you at the mo and answering your question!

I have felling that if you are a member of BRC or BHS you have some sort of insurance - it would be worth checking?

I think putting an ad up in tack shops would be a good idea, I was thinking of advertising in the local paper & tack shops - have you checked to see what is in your local paper?

Good luck x

Bar work would actually probably be easier and quite possibly pay more too. I used to love working behind a bar - most of the time it doesn't really feel like work (plus tips are handy! hehe)!
