Since Goli has arrived we have made fun of him being so uninterested in things (noises) But have started to wonder if he cant hear everything or is just very unconcerned! He will nieghto other horses when they nieghto him but he wont come to me from the field unless another one comes first or i am in sight of him and get his attention. Also he does not react to noises at all - he doesn't prick his ears (he goes to sleep lol) at noises around him but will if he actually see's something.

When we had him vetted the vet did say he had a bit of ear wax in his ears but nothing to worry about- could this be muffling what he hears!

I know this is a stupid question but it just seems a little odd!
 
I am hoping it is just he is laid back lol! Its just i never known a 2yr old to be this laid back about these sorts of things, he doesn't even bother to look where its came from!
 
next time soemone has the vet out to your yard you could ask them to just have a look in his ears? Hope it is just that he is laid back though, some youngsters are!

Took him for a walk in hand today with his bridle and rollar on, went round the fields for 45 mins and he was a total star - i suppose being 17.1 already thats a good thing lol!
 
hehe hes massive for a 2yr old!! And that is deff a good thing that he is chilled then! If he has a hearing problem i would back him before sorting it if hes that chilled :P! Only joking, if there is something wrong it probably is best to get it sorted!!
