Three times now we've been out wtih my friends Ifor trailer (full size, extra height), having used it no issue for over 10 years, & the partition (once front half, twice back half) has come unhooked from the central pole so the partitions were only being held in place by the breech bars. Horses not playing up, all used to travelling. Anyone else had this issue & know of any solutions?

They slot with short cylinders of metal (2 on each partition) into metal 'o's welded onto central pole. Never had this issue in 10+years, but has happened the last 3 times out. Thankfully horses all sensible & stood whilst I climed into bay with them (trust my girl implicitly) & lifted partition back onto slots.

Something's worn or gone wrong ,it is quite difficult to get mine off you have to swivel the round to the right place and lift them I think there's something on the upright that stops the petition going up and off until you swivel the petition round to the correct spot .

Yup /\ that. They are a bugger to get on and off, as you have to get them at the right angle (open) otherwise the partition fitting fouls on the bumps built into the centre-post! I wonder if the central post could be upside-down or something, though I can't get the partitions ON when I put my central post in upside-down, which I seem to do every single time.

In the 511 there are two bits of metal above the pins that allow the partitions only to be lifted when they're folded back to the walls. Maybe yours have worn? It would be very easy to get new ones welded back on by a blacksmith.

There should be a little "tongue" on the centre pole so the partition sections can only be lifted onto the hinges when swung wide open, if you see what I mean.

Not sure if that will be a feature of yours but it might be and if so perhaps it has broken off? Any reasonable weldor ought to be able to weld a piece back on. If you're not sure what I mean, I could probably post a photo.

Anyway, look for the mark of where a small protuberance has broken off the centre pole just above the hinge. You shouldn't be able to put the partitions back on their hinges with two horses in the trailer, but could with only one (so there' space to swing the partition right across.

Hope that makes sense!

Thanks for everyone helping with this. Checked yesterday, looks like the central pole had been replaced upside down, which is why the knobs which stop the partitions lifting up when horses loaded weren't in correct place. Pole replaced other way around, everything now as it should be & looking forward to Bocconnoc endurance ride this coming Sunday!:D

YES! I had this issue when a friend gave my horse a lift in their 510. Ifor told me that the partition was in upside down, my friends wouldn't listen though. You are lucky the breech bar held it, my horse ended up with the back partition dumped on his leg!
My horse isn't a bad traveller but does like the trailer to do most of the work for him.
