partitions - travelling question

I think the only legal requirement is a breast bar for forward/backward travel and the horses have to be tied up. I have never heard any problem with removing the partition but not sure about travelling two like that.

Put it this way, I bet if you were shipping them abroad to be made into salami nobody would turn a hair, that's not meant in a way to be offensive SB am just a cynical old bat!

It is illegal to travel 2 horses without a partition, as from author of trailer guides (not me!) I'd say whatever your horse is happy with. I've had a bad loader who was much happier without partitions and my current horse is fine so I keep them in so that I can take friends. One advantage of no partitions is that I always tacked up in the trailer on wet days! With no partitions you must have a full width breast bar and cross-tie your horse so it can't turn round - might tip you over!

Depends on the horse. I have travelled horses with no parition at all (with a breast bar though obviously) as with one horse who fell over, it was the only way! I have also travelled the horse mentioned without the back section of partition also. But generally if their normal travellers I just use them normally.
