Just got back from Solihull RC aff. dessage. As we are now into winter qualifiers we have started to compete again [I expect you think we should be going to more shows and upgrading, but he is only 5 and we want to get the basics really established without any tension]
He was only entered in prelims today and in the first he went lovely and scored 74% and won
Then in the second test, the qualifier, he was a bit flat and slipped on one corner and did a rubbish halt[ for him]
SCORED 79.2%
He got five 9's[two of them in collectives] Shame the final halt was a 6
BUT he was definately a bit quiet and coughed twice just before we came home.He is eating really well and no discharge or temperature so hope he is ok.
My daughter rides him [Rafi] and has postponed her honeymoon to do the regionals so I hope all goes well.
Partoow is her trainer and has made such a difference to his scores and our eventers scores by making my daughter aware of her position and lending her a super saddle .THANKS.
Need a lesson before regionals but will only come if he is well.

Wow Carthorse- that is fantastic

What brilliant scores.
Congrats to you and Partwoo as well. The difference a great trainer can make is worth its weight in gold. Bbmat's managed to completely change Mr D and I and our dressage marks as well

That is fab!

Yes he won both and £30 .We can't get to Paroow very often [once a month] but she is a brilliant trainer and a perfectionist. Just wanted her to know we work hard at home to improve all the time
Yesterday I took him for a hack [ I'm old and he his patient and safe] and then he went out to grass all night ,so not wrapped in cotton wool, and he has just reg. BSJA and got double clears.Don't tell horsegroupie ,she bred him, she will want a percentage of his winnings.
Just hope he is ok with all these viruses about it would be just the wrong time to get poorly.Other horse has qualified for Intro national BE ,so just praying they are ok

Miles in the lead then he [not this horse] wouldn't go near the cricket stumps. It cause loads of problems [see my post next page] went back next day and did novice fine and other single one but the intermed was so narrow and he glanced off it and hit his shoulder so I wouldn't let her try again .He then carried on around the course fine.No open team finished and only one intermed team finished!!!!!!!!!

WOOOOWWW!!! Excellent scores!!! Dont rush the grades.. you do as you feel..take it nice and easy.. you should be very very pleased!!!!!!!

That is fabulous, i was hoping all was ok and i know that you guys put in SO much you are a great team ALL of you, claire would'nt be able to do it without you and it is wonderful teaching people who really want to take up the challenge and confront their own weaknesses daily AND do a full time job AND run a family.
I am proud of you all and proud to help.
Call when you are ready and we will get to work again.
