As some of you will know my dogs were seriously ill around the beginning of June and the same thing passed to 4 out of the 6 dogs. I have had the tests back today and it was Parvo virus. Luckily for me all of mine are innoculated against this but apparently (I didn't realise this) they still show all of the symptoms. It wasn't very nice to see them so ill, some of the symptoms are (in order that mine came down with them) off of food, throwing up, lack of energy and generally VERY sick looking, absolutely foul smelling poo with quite some amount of blood in it. Please make sure your dogs are innoculated against this. Apparently there is an epidemic around the borders (Herefordshire/Worc) and Wales.

My dogs hadn't been off of the yard since Chepstow Horse Trials so I'm not sure where they've picked it up from!

Eak, glad the ja did its job and they have fully recovered.
Just goes to show no matter how carefull you are you can alwasy come into contack with a dog carrying something nasty.

Yes it does, it can also be carried on shoes/tyres and birds! So pretty contagious!

Does the booster jab innoculate against this or do you have to have a seperate jab? Apologies for not knowing
