What a heck of a hack I had this morning.
Two riders passed me on the road, which is fair enough as they were faster BUT when I warned them that my horse may kick, one just turned around and said, I'm far enough away. FFS, she came right up beside me, leaving no space. I managed to turn my ponies bum away so that she couldn't even think it.
How would you pass another horse? Is it just me, as I would be giving them a wide berth especially if it's a strange horse!
Then I ended up facing a menacing, growling dog, who's owner was on the other side of a bridge. As long as pony didn't move, dog bounded around barking, but the minute she even shifted her weight, the dog was growling and edging towards us. Pony was well behave and stayed until the owner finally got some control of her dog.
Not the nice, peaceful hack I'd have liked after a week of hell, but hey ho.
