We bought a shetland a few months ago and now I have her passport I need to change her ownership over to me. Thing is that person I bought it from is not registerd owner - nor are the other 3 people in the passport - details just written in.
I contacted the breed society and they gave me the details of the reg owner - whos details are not even in the passport! There is no marked change since the breeder.
I have to complete a form for transfer of ownership, and send it to this old owner and then have them send it in to the society. But even then, my details will not be in the passport unless I just write them in themselves as they have not asked for the actual passport to be returned.
Is this right??
