Hello,

I need some help, when I had my Horse 5* vetted a month ago, the vet scanned for a microchip, the number of the microchip did not match the one on the passport! Only 1 number was wrong. The vet assured me that it was the right Horse with the correct Passport and that it was a mistake.

I Insured my Horse with KBIS and they have just sent me through a letter (almost 3 weeks after I took the insurance out) that they would be canceling my policy this week as they noticed the chip doesnt match the passport. Unless I can get it changed.

How do I go about getting the passport number changed?

Thanks

Forgot to add on the front of her passport it says Bristish Skewbald and Piebald Assoiciation. So Isit them I need to speak too?

Also I mean has she been listed as stolen...? The insurance company although can understand why if there was a dodgey horse but they should give you a chance to sort it out now the problem is identified? Seems a bit over zealous? My vet filled out most of it by hand etc so easy to have made a typo? One digit wrong.

Am sure you can sort this out and get reinsured.
